“The boy became a man. And the prince became a king.”

Bumin of the Ashina Clan not only grew up into an adult over time. He was, henceforth, a force to be reckoned with, rebelling against the tyranny of his clan’s feudal lords.

His goal: to create his own kingdom, where his family could live in liberty, and where justice would be available for all regardless of culture and religion.

Bumin wanted to prevent all the pain and suffering he had witnessed as a child, so that his children could live
in prosperity and peace. Once he would become king, he would not repeat the mistakes of his enemies.

For this, Bumin teamed up with six other men and women of several Turkic clans. All of them were skilled warriors,
tenacious Turks eager to topple
the tyrants of the Rouran Khaganate.

But would they be successful?

A manga inspired by real-life events of 6th century Central Asia and developed by experts in ancient Turkic history, BUMIN KHAGAN aims to tell the fascinating story of a group of seven young men and women with great dreams, deep backgrounds and the ambition to give liberty and justice to their people.
